Osteoarthritis Pain - Is it Possible to Reduce Inflammation by Eating Certain Foods?

The answer is YES. Painful osteoarthritis or any arthritic pain for that matter starts with chronic inflammation and swelling around the joint area. Studies have shown that adding certain foods to your diet will help reduce the swelling, which in turn offers some pain relief.

Diet is a choice and sometimes the pain may be a choice based upon what you are putting in your mouth.

Most of us seem to be seduced by food in one way or another we know it is not good for us but we still eat it. For example, in one hand you are holding your favorite sugar treat (ice-cream, cookie, etc.) which may cause you more chronic pain, and in the other you are holding a nice fresh spinach salad that you know will help reduce the pain.

You only get to choose one. You would think the choice would be obvious, but for some reason the ninja in us seems spring from nowhere, snatching the spinach bowl from your hand leaving you with the tasty sugar treat and the pain.

By choosing your food more wisely you may be able to reduce some of the pain, so tell the ninja in you to back off and take your pain with him, because you are the new boss in town and you make the decisions around hear.
